Wheel Lifts and Log-overs (2hr)

Logs and other obstacles are a part of life when you mountain bike the trails in Virginia. We will teach you the proper way to ride over them by lifting your front wheel and back wheel independently and will practice the timing needed to keep your chainring safe and happy. There are several ways to lift the wheels, and we cover as many of them as we can in this three-hour clinic depending on how the group progresses. Examples include the basic front and rear wheel lifts, the manual, the ¼-punch front wheel lift, the level lift and, the bunnyhop. Prerequisites for this course include completion of a fundamentals class or a more advanced lesson in addition to possessing intermediate riding abilities.
